Accessibility

This site is compliant with the W3C XHTML Transitional 1.0 standards and CSS standards as part of our commitment to ensure that the site meets the requirements for web access to disabled people as part of the Disability Discrimination Act Oct 2004. We are also working towards further enhancements to enable as many people, irrespective of ability, access to this site, as each objective is achieved we will announce it here.

Changing Text Sizes

This site also includes a piece of javascript that allows people with some visual impairment to alter the size of the text throughout the site (with the exception of the text shown in flash based elements). To use this feature your browser will need to be set to accept cookies and have javascript enabled. The cookie used as part of this process contains no identifiable information and is purely to enable a visitor to record their personal preferences for text sizes when visiting the site. If you have javascript and enable cookies turned off you will not be able to use this function.

W3C Compliance

At the bottom of every page you'll see a link to XHTML 1.0 and CSS, these links are to validation pages in the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) that ensure that they meet the necessary standards in XHTML coding and CSS use. These standards are in place to ensure that web sites can be accessed by as many people as possible irrespective of browser and ability. The apollogroup web site has been tested in Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox on the Windows Operating System and Safari on the Mac OSX 10.4 Operating System.
